Planchette Says Yes, the Experimental Film Installations of the Rhode Island Based Collective

Robert Mateo Keegan Burbano

4 September 2016

Planchette was founded in 2012, in Providence, Rhode Island, by filmmaker A. V. Carraway. The goal of the collaborative is to unite women creatives in filmmaking, screenwriting, music, and costume design. Each year, the collaborative releases a short film, also called extreme slideshows, accompanied by live musical performances.

The following stills come from the film installation, Hidden Gemz. The full video follows the stills. Click here to visit Planchette’s website and to learn more about past and future projects, including their current film, No Eyes With Which To Cry, loosely based on The Haunting of Hill House, by Shirley Jackson.
